Part 48 - The Witcher 3 - 2nd playthrough - Death March
Yennefer loves me, but she is refusing to admit it just yet. :)
Instead she is bullshitting about needing Geralt's help to tame a djinn to get its power when in reality she just wants it to erase the spell that binds her to him to see if he would still love her then. The spell was cast by a djinn (this happens in one of the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski) so only another djinn can remove it.
Yenn, you might want to hurry up with opening that portal!!!
Whew, that was close...
Yennefer and Geralt retrieved this broken seal that houses a djinn. Now he has to weaken it enough for her to talk to it.
The djinn was weakened, Yenn ordered it to erase the spell, and when it did, she set it free.
And these two are still in love, nothing changed. :) It felt so right to tell Yenn "I love you" just like it did when I first played this game. I wouldn't play this quest any other way.
Note: If enemy upscaling is turned ON, this quest is bugged, and the djinn can't be killed. Turn it OFF for the duration of the fight then turn it back on.
We teleported back to Yenn's room, and I was curious if the unicorn was still there, but it was gone. Maybe Yenn turned it into a smaller unicorn for easy transportation?
Anyway, I still had some time to play so I did one Skellige witcher contract (Strange Beast) before returning to Velen. The boss was this super nekker who lived in a cave with an army of minor nekkers - check out all the dead nekker markers on the minimap. :D
Geralt posed for one last Skellige photo, collected his reward for the super nekker, then traveled back to Velen. I'm still level 22, so I'm going to clear Novigrad and Velen quests that are max level 25 before doing the next main quest.
