Unboxing Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Launch Edition with one of Edward Kenway's youngest fans
I have fond memories of playing Black Flag on my Xbox One during the 2015 European heatwave, wearing nothing but panties, my chest covered with a wet cloth diaper, 38 degrees raging outside, a fan blowing cool, salty sea breeze in my face... Okay, I may have imagined the smell of salt. :) It was no question that we would buy Black Flag Resynced, because it is one of my favorite games ever, and it is the first large, open world game my partner played afer I introduced her to video games in the late 2010s. She's played many games since then, and she said she wanted to play Black Flag again, because she would be able to appreciate it so much more now. I'm actually not sure I will play it again, because I've completed it twice, and I already have too little time to play games I have not completed yet. But I can't wait to watch her play, see the upgraded graphics, hear the sea shanties again, and travel back to the 18th-century Caribbean with Edward Kenway. :)
My partner's son is nearly four years old now. I've shown him a few games including Minecraft, Stray, BG3, Clair Obscur, Black Flag, and he clearly has a preference for games with "warriors" and battles. He's really into pirates, too, since he's watched some scenes from Black Flag. I decided to let him unbox the game and took some photos.
By the way, I'm deeply saddened and outraged by Sony's decision to discontinue the release of physical games from 2028. I think these photos tell why...
