No Man's Sky in PSVR2

Ten years ago, I was curiously awaiting the release of No Man's Sky. When it came out in the summer of 2016 and received a lot of criticism, I lost interest in it. Over the years since, I've seen news about its gradual improvement until I was convinced it was now a good game I should try.

I bought a PSVR2 at the end of 2023. After completing Horizon Call of the Mountain, I played a lot of Synth Riders and Beat Saber in 2024, but towards the end of that year, I got bored with these games. The sad truth is that I barely touched my PSVR2 in 2025. The best games are still not being made for VR - or at least what I consider to be the best games. I'm not a fan of horror games, and every time I look up "best PSVR2 games," a lot of zombies and monsters come up.

And then I learned that No Man's Sky had an update in 2023 which made it playable in PSVR2 and decided it was something I shouldn't miss.

I think we can all agree that the PSVR2 headset is horribly designed. Even with the DEVASO strap, the experience of playing a game like No Man's Sky was ruined for me by the constant need to readjust the headset which caused its screen to go blank, because the proximity sensor thought I had removed it from my head. I didn't have this problem while playing dancing games, because there I was mostly looking straight ahead, but in No Man's Sky, I keep turning my head to see my surroundings, look down into caves, gaze up at the sky when starships fly above me, etc. All of this movement makes the headset slip up and down unless I fasten it so much it hurts. While searching for a solution, I have found this product: Globular Cluster CMP2 Comfortable Mod for PS VR 2 The overwhelmingly positive reviews convinced me I should get one, so I ordered one yesterday.
