Discovering the world of Baldur's Gate 3
I'm one of those gamers who started playing Baldur's Gate 3 without any experience in Dungeons & Dragons or previous Baldur's Gate games. Needless to say, the learning curve - if we put time on the y axis - has been veeery steep. :) I'm doing three playthroughs simultaneously: one alone, one with my teenage daughter, and one with my girlfriend. I have now spent 40 hours playing the game across these three playthroughs, and half of the time, I still don't understand what is going on. :D I'm treading carefully and saving often, because I don't want to make huge mistakes I would later regret. I already made one in my solo playthrough when I massacred all the druids in the grove back when I had no idea what I was doing. Then when I first met my girl Karlach she didn't want anything to do with me. :D I reloaded a much earlier save, let the tieflings have Sazza when they spotted me trying to smuggle her out of their camp, and now Karlach is on my side and even made peace with Wyll at my camp. :)
My character in my solo playthrough, a drow ranger outlander, whose name, Nidriia, I generated using this website:
My daughter created this character for her solo playthrough, but she didn't get far in that one as she prefers to play with me:
She is a tiefling druid urchin, and her name is Calix.
She recreated her for our coop playthrough in which I play myself, Noemi, a noble human bard:
Finally my third character, Dana, is an elf sorcerer sage, pictured here next to my girlfriend's guardian:
