A tale of light and shadows
Back when I wrote this post I hadn't decided what I would play after finishing Baldur's Gate 3. Then Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released in April, and after that, there was no question. This game is magnificently unique, unlike anything I've ever played. I know that may be because I never played any Final Fantasy games. In any case, I'm loving it. I'm playing on Expeditioner difficulty, which I think will be OK for me. So far, the only enemy that gave me real trouble was the optional Chromatic Lancelier in the Spring Meadows. I couldn't beat it even after trying for 45 minutes, so I decided to move on and maybe return later. I've just defeated the first story boss, Eveque, and that was easy to do on the first try.
